Elder Care in Alliance, Alberta

Dear Sir/Madam: I am Dina B. , from the Philippine, currently working in Israel as a caregiver since 2007 to present. In 2005 I decided to enroll into basic caregiver program for 6-months in the University of Perpetual Help Rizal, Campus in Molino, Cavite, Philippine. In 2007, I made my decision to apply a caregiver job in Israel, and on May 4, 2007 arrived here in Israel working as a caregiver. For me, I believed that caregiver job is a noble, and I’m proud and privileged that I am part of this kind of job. Working to the elderly men/women with different kind of behavior and individual diseases, like (Prostate Cancer, Dementia, Diabetic and Kidney) problems, is not easy, but If you have a positive attitude toward work, you can handle easily with no regrets and complaints. My approach in working to elderly men/women, is very simple. I focus on positive with STROKES direction, at right time appropriate for the individual. STROKES, means; Smile, Touch, Respect, Offer friendship, Know, Empathy and Share. Whatever good work you do, you’re bound to face problems and obstacles. Therefore, it’s important to check our motivation. It helps to be truthful and honest. If what you do is good for others, It’ll be good for you too. Once you know your goal can be reached, you should try to follow it through to the end. Then, even if you don’t achieve it, at least you’ll have no cause for regret. And Lastly, I’m very thankful to the Good Lord that He, Bless me strength, patience and love that I shared to all my employers, whom I love to work with, serving to them is my inspiration in my daily life.
