I am Roy from Edmonton Alberta Canada. My strengths have always been working and helping others especially the vulnerable, the handicapped and most of all the elderly. I took the PCA course back in 2002 to be more qualified under Canadian System to work under the healthcare program. After taking the course, I worked with Canadian Paraplegic Association in Toronto, ON. In 2005 I moved to Edmonton Alberta and worked with SAIL a nonprofit organization in the downtown area, I have worked with stroke clients, quadriplegic and elderly clients. Working with quadriplegics gave me more hands in training to do all personal care such as bathing, bowel stimulation and most of all ROM (range of motion exercises) which can be done to all clients for blood and muscle stimulation. I am well experienced with any kind or type of transfers, manual or electric. I also have worked with Bayshore Healthcare, for 3 years. Presently I am working with a 35-year-old Quadriplegic and has been with him for 10 years. Being said of my experience, I have matured myself and had just focused on working even 24 hours. It would be an advantage if I live in and be provided my own room and space. This way I will be able to fully monitor and care your Loved ones.
