Hello friend. I know this can be a sensitive topic involving the people we love. As we get older we want to be able to express our lives to the people who know us and will one day remember us. That’s my specialty. I don’t just babysit grandma. I help her, regardless of her condition, tell the story of her life. Sometimes our loved ones just want someone to talk to, to give life advice to. Sometimes they just want someone to watch tv with. I’m here as a companion and confidant for however long I’m needed. My favorite is when I can finally help someone get in touch with their inner child and let them just play for a while, without worrying about the stresses of the day. I come with a collection of skills brought to you courtesy of a life of love and compassion. I help clean up around the house, cook and serve appropriate food, and keep your loved one entertained for hours so you can have peace of mind throughout your day. Some of the activities I provide are reading out loud, coloring in fun coloring books, playing cards, and going for daily walks. On the social side I am happy to just be a friend and companion to your loved one by just spending time with them on whatever they like to do around the house. And, of course, listen to and jot down a lifetime of stories. A quick run down of what I am not and don’t provide: medical services of any kind. I am not certified, though I can watch as they take their medications and remind them in a timely manner, or else inform you of refusals. On the more delicate subject of end-of-life care, I am a certified death doula. So, I can be there until the very end, making their space more comfortable and compatible for them. I do not discriminate based on life expectancy.
