Who I Am: Hello, my name is Nani (pronounced Naw-Knee). Thank you very much for taking the time to consider me as a caregiver for your loved one(s). I have a very rich and unique background that I believe may serve as a great asset to you and your family. In addition to having a higher level of education, I initially became interested in the Human Services field during the course of my 5 years working as a Personal Care Attendant for Hiawatha Homes. Throughout my career, I've worked extensively with individuals who have cognitive and developmental disabilities, severe mental health conditions, individuals on the Autism spectrum, brain injuries, physical limitations and the Time-Honored population, just to name a few. Services And Training: While I'm not a CNA, I am very experienced with medication administration; bathing, dressing and grooming; bowel care; initiating community-based leisure activities and performing additional home-based needs. I have my own vehicle and am happy to provide out of home care as needed. I consider myself a very patient individual and take the time to work within the needs and limitations of those in my care. Having said this, I feel it is very important to ensure that I have a good connection/chemistry with not only the individual who needs care, but with the family as well.
