Elder Care in South River, New Jersey

I am a 23 year old female with many years of caregiving experience, both pediatric and geriatric. For years, I assisted my mother in caring for my step fathers diabetes, administering insulin and checking his blood sugar daily; more so after his foot amputation when he required constant attention, until the time of his death. Also, caring for my grandmother full time for the last five years of her life, caring for both of them on multiple occasions! My duties including bathing and feeding her, medication management, activities coordinator, preparing her for bedtime and/or daytime, changing wound dressing, handling her medical equipment (oxygen, wheelchair, etc), attending doctors appointments, running needed errands, grocery shopping, housekeeping, etc. I have also nannied for a family of 3 for years, therefore becoming experienced on both ends of the spectrum. I am a NJ state certified emergency medical technician, accompanied with certifications in CPR, hazardous materials, and multi-casualty incidents. I have been caring for others since I was 11 years old, when I began assisting with the care of my younger sister. I thoroughly enjoy caring for elders and children, they can teach you so much!
