Overview: Hello my name is Bekki. I'm interviewing for an elder care provider employment opportunity in Victoria, British Columbia. I have vast experIence caring for disabled children and senior care. I took care of my elderly Grandfather for several years before his passing. Duties ranged from cooking and cleaning, administering medications, giving injections. I am currently caring for my mother who is dying of breast cancer. My father and her moved in with us 2 years ago so I could oversee her care. In the 90’s up until 2005 I cared for several severely disabled children through Paramed Home Health Care. I gained experience in changing feeding tubes, mickey sites, bowel care, self care, administering various medications, and tracking daily health care. I also worked for The Ministry of Children and Families, and The Ministry of Health from 1994-200.... I worked in Child protection for the ministry of children and families, and wrote care plans and policy for The ministry of health. I retired from those positions in 2005, when I had my daughter. I have essentially been a stay at home mom for the past 15 years. I have done contract work during this time. My husband and I also owned and operated Sitka Inspection Services from 2006-201.... A bit about myself… I am 48 years old. I am a good natured person, and I love working individually with clients. Im am naturally a nurturing person, which makes me a great fit for health care.
