I’m trained in the 1990s by University of BC Institute of Justice: to work as Supervisor, or Person in Charge of Developed Mentally Disabled And Handicapped Persons in a group home setting. I did that for a few years but I realized, I much prefer working as a hands on person, to persons as a care provider in a setting in the community and leave administrative work alone. My experience is as such, I can manage and distribute medications; plan, cook, and serve healthy meals; follow and implement medical diagnostic programs; provide warm, calming, and as the mood requires a meaningful environment in which the person enjoys to live in and be in at all times. I have a vehicle, with a class 4 driver’s license. I have CPR training, needs upgrading. I will do this. I am early, not late. Careful, cautious, kind, not perfect, I am willing to admit when I’m wrong, learn from it and move forward; and very friendly. I am available Sunday to Sunday and all days of the week in between and weekends as well. All shifts are good with me, I’m also good with 8hr or 12hr shifts. I’ve had many many workshop training and upgrading weeks over the past several 25 to 30 years. Even a mental health crisis 911 course. Very useful in these times. I enjoy being with people, period! I’m a introvert with a huge extrovert socializing heart! I’m a helper by nature! I love my work. I love people! There I’ve said it. That’s who I am in a nutshell!
