I have experience working as a Health assistant in a hospital setting since 2019. Currently, I monitor patients’ conditions by taking vital signs (temperatures, heart rate, respirations, weights) and reporting accordingly. I also assist patients in taking medications, grooming, physical exercises, laundry,showering, toileting, bed baths, cleaning patients’ rooms among other tasks. Overall, I have learned about the emotional and compassionate demands of the carer profession, and have continuously experienced a high level of satisfaction from contributing to the well-being of patients and comfort of their families. My goal is to support in improving the health outcomes of those in my care while maintaining their right to dignity, independence and respect. Sometimes, I am amazed at the stories of abuse and poor treatment of the vulnerable people. I have certification in Leadership and Management In Health from the University of Washington e-Learning. I have trainings in Health and Safety from the World Safety Organization . I am currently studying Nursing and Patient Care and Caregiving online on Alison. I am available to work Mondays-Fridays, Morning shifts.
