Elder Care in Hinsdale, Illinois

I have been a caregiver since 1989, some would think, I should be tired of it. The truth is I am tired, but not from taking care of seniors but losing them after investing my life with them. Over the years I have worked alongside many caregivers; those that do it just to get a paycheck and those that are called. When I had my first assignment with a senior with Alzheimer's, I didn't think I had the ability to make much of a difference in her life. We were together for eight years and I discovered something about myself; I do make a difference. It was a life changing, win-win experience for both of us. I have taken care of people with a wide range of difficulties, both physical and mental. I've desired to go back to school to get a better education but the transition after each lost basically left me looking for another assignment. In spite of all the losses, I could honestly say, I would never have been able to help the client's and their family members on the level that I have, had I gotten one. Everyone knows when people really care, even if you Dementia. I witness this over and over again. I could go on and on in detail about me and my life as a caregiver. Perhaps, that may come at a later date.
