My name is Crystal. I am a 39 year old with four years of experience in geriatrics, two plus years of experience in mental health working with individuals with ID/DD. I am familiar with home health care and am capable of transporting to and from appointments as needed. I am CPR certified as well as Bloodborne pathogens. I have had medication training in my current position and have been train with insulin injections. I have also been trained with tube feeding. I have the training and experience with colostomy bags on how to change and clean them. I am excellent in emergency situations. I am very organized and always try to maintain a schedule when possible. I understand that things happen day to day and a set schedule for certain activities is not always possible. However maintaining a routine is always important in anyone's life especially those with any form of disability. I am familiar with all kinds of behaviors and behavioral specialist. I am also familiar in working with case management. I am familiar with speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy and the plans put in place for such. I am familiar with using a hoyer lift, gate belt, electric wheelchair, stander, and many other ambulatory items. With this being said I truly enjoy working with people. I have a cheery disposition about me and love getting to know people and new environments. I am self motivated and adjust well to change.
