Elder Care in Trinity, North Carolina

Hello, I am 45 and my husband and I have taken care of our elderly neighbor for 5 years. We loved this man and I thought of him as a father figure. I bathed him when he couldn't do it. I tried cooking for him but he told my husband that I couldn't cook (his taste buds and his stomach weren't the same as before he gave up). He liked my spaghetti and grilled cheese sandwiches! We miss him a lot! I do not drive but my husband does. He picks up the walker or wheel chair. I helped put his medicines in a daily pill box. I washed, dried and hung up his clothes. Kept him entertained unless he fell asleep then I would make sure he ward close to one of his chairs ( because he tended to sleep in his chair towards the end. Older people have so much to tell us! I am available 8 am to 5 pm but can stay all night a couple nights.
