Elder care in Ooltewah, Tennessee

I am a 57 year old female who has been a care giver for the majority of my life. I have worked at a major trucking company in Chattanooga, but I have two gentleman that I care for here at my home. One is my best and dearest friend who has COPD/Bullous Disease, and the other is my husband who was injured in Iraq and is disabled. Upon a department restructure the end of March of this year, I was let go after 20 years with this company. I have been told many times that the area of work I need to be in is care giving. I can clean, I can cook/bake and take pride in caring for others. This is totally out of my scope of jobs that I was searching for, but there is nothing in the safety end of transportation in this area, and I find that even trying to get a job as an administrative assistant/secretary is difficult.
