Elder Care Job in Knoxville, Tennessee

My parents live in Knoxville, TN in an independent living center called Sherill Hills. I live in Key West, FL. My brother and his family live in Knoxville. My sister in law provides a lot of mom's care. I had planned a trip overseas not realizing my brother and sister in law had planned a vacation at the same time. My sister in law goes over and plays cards with my mom 3 times a week and for the remaining days there is a provider from Home in Stead who goes over and gives their medication. Some one from the same agency comes in the morning and gives the medication and helps my parents put on their support hose. My mom calls me often when she get anxious about the people coming over to give her her medication. She also becomes anxious about other things. I would like someone who could come over and spend time with them during the day for the three weeks I will be gone. I will be in Knoxville on August 27 through August 31 and could mee the person with my parents. They might not be really happy about the set up because my mother seems to want my sister in law to take care of all of her needs. It almost seems that she invents worries to get my sister in law over to play cards with her. I do guard thinking like this because the cards may be the only thing that sooths her. It is important that the person be able to play canasta with mom.
