Elder Care Job in Toronto, Ontario

Part-time, live-out, caregiver needed for an elderly female recently diagnosed with epilepsy. Seizures are controlled with medication, but she is suffering from memory loss, confusion, and fatigue. She can sometimes get frustrated, but she is not at all aggressive. She is aware of her condition and that her memory isn\'t so good. Help needed with the following tasks every day of the week. Note, not all tasks need be handled by the same person and it\'s not necessary to handle all 7 days of the week. Morning (starting around 7:30 - 8:00; estimating 1 hour of time needed) 1. Take first medication on empty stomach. 2. Ensure breakfast eaten 30 minutes after first medication. 3. Give another round of pills immediately following breakfast. 4. Prepare a sandwich for lunch. Around Noon (starting around 11:30; estimating 1 hour of time needed) 1. Ensure awake no later than 11:30 if taking nap. 2. Ensure lunch eaten sometime between 11:30 and 12:30. Evening (starting around 5:00pm; estimating 1 hour of time needed) 1. Ensure dinner eaten. Help prepare if needed. Will be something simple. 2. Give evening pills following dinner. Other Tasks (approximately weekly) 1. Assist with laundry. 2. Clean floors. Small condo. 3. Clean bathroom.
