Professional, caring, compassionate, Canadian educated RN, Available for private in home nursing care. I have just completed 8 month refresher RN program at Algonquin College. Awaiting College of Nurses to issue license, a long administrative wait. I have been out of the country for the past 11 years, and was required by the College of Nurses of Ontario to refresh my nursing education. I have just completed 400 clinical hours at the Ottawa General and Civic hospitals in neurosurgery and medicine. I had my final clinical experience of 200 hours at the Ottawa Hospice-Maycourt Residence this spring. I have recent ten years private in home health care experience with dementia, quadriplegia, post-surgical clients, Multiple Sclerosis, and Alzheimer’s clients. Experienced in diabetes, wound care, medication administration, oxygen therapy, chemotherapy, diabetes, hoyer lifts, handicapped van usage, and more. Six years hematology/oncology experience at Ottawa General Hospital. Seeking private in home clients for nursing care, assistance, errands, appointments, companionship etc. I am a cheery, friendly nurse with two adult children. Pet lover, as well. Available day evenings, weekends, and nights. Excellent references available upon request. Hourly wage starting $20-25 varies with needs required. Service Abilities: I can take care of physical therapy, dressing and wounds, and help with mental health. Assistt with shopping, errands, appointments. companionship. and light duties.
