Elder Care in Toronto, Ontario

I am looking for a position as a personal support worker where I can use my acquired skills and many years of experience to provide excellent care to those who are in need. I am an individual who is able to work calmly in difficult situations, hard-working, flexible, compassionate, honest, patient and always with positive attitude. I have experience from working as a nurse at a hospital back home where I fed, prepared meals, dressed and helped individuals maintain hygiene. I coordinated with the staff and families for better service. I have worked as a personal support worker at Rockcliffe Long Term Care Residence in Toronto where I assisted with daily living activities which included bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility and feeding with patience and care. I recognized and reported changes in patients’ behaviour/condition. I have over 8 years of experience from assisting my bedridden mother, father and seniors in my neighbourhood where I assisted with daily living activities, administered medications, provided wound care and assisted with wheelchair trips inside and outside the house. I have experience in using the Hoyer lift and assisting those on tube feeding. I looking forward to assist elders with daily living activities, provide care as well as develop effective relationships with them.
