Elder Care Job in Mason City, Iowa

My mom who is in Mason City has developed memory issues. For 87 years old she is in excellent health, with moderate to sever memory issues. Big problem now is to get her to a doctor so we can get a good diagnosis but we would have to physically drag her. If you mention the word home to her, she freaks out. Most of her behavior is typical of dementia from what I read. She has lived with us for a couple months and that was just bad and now my wife is staying with her in June at her MC home and I will in July if necessary. To her the best option is to stay in her home and have someone watch/drive her daily. I would think at most 9-4 daily, maybe a little less.. She is a big daily/Sunday catholic church goer. She can still cook/bake, sometimes badly I know I tasted it and thrown it out. House relatively clean. She was very intelligent and still shows signs. Does not wander off, so far. Loves gardening. We are trying to not have her drive based on her best friends observation of her driving, her license is still good for a year. Cannot go to many places as she gets lost if its not going to Wal-Mart, Hyvee, or to chapel at Mercy.
