Dear Family, I am B. S. D. Sanjeewani Munasinghe. I am working in Israel as a caregiver. I would be happy to find friendly elderly person in Canada and start working as a caregiver with a long term contract. I am optimistic, hard working & very passionate about my job. I love to help elderly & patients to lead better life. I've participated and volunteered in many caregiver program in my school years. I studied at private nursing school for one year and have experience more than five year as a nurse in private Nursing home. I started my career in caregiving sector in November 2010 in Israel. During this time I’ve learned a lot about the special needs of the elderly. I have experience as a nurse in all first aid and patient care responsibility to include bathing, feeding & toileting. In depth knowledge of providing basic care and personal hygiene to the patient (skin care, hair, nails & oral care). I also can check blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiration and can lay out the medication for patients. I also responsible for the house keeping related to my duties (cooking, cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, changing bed linens, do laundry). I have ability to encourage activities with needs and capabilities to the patient and assist in daily exercise such as walking, stretching and so on, helping to get in/out of the bed and getting dress. As well I have an experience in preparing nutritious meals. In addition to the above, my communication skills and ability to connect with people allows me to develop a special bond with my employer, it’s a pleasure to me to keep a company and chat with the elderly. I am non-smoker and in perfect health. Being eager to learn more in this field I like to watch and read related program and articles in my spare time. I am friendly with pets too.
