Elder Care in Paradise, Pennsylvania

I have worked at a Health Services, as an activity assistant in the dementia unit. This my was first experience working with the elderly and specifically dementia. I absolutely fell in love with my residents! This was when I discovered that working with the elderly was my niche and God-given ability. I also worked as a therapeutic recreation assistant at a Retirement Community. My responsibilities included, accompanying the residents on outings, serving meals/knowing their specific diets, transporting them to and from activities if in a wheelchair, spending one on one time with them, help with light housekeeping, making sure they were satisfied, and just simply keeping them company. Although I do not work at those places at the moment, I still go in and visit/help my residents out of love and respect for them! I am also CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
