Elder Care Job in Oakville, Ontario

We need a kind and patient caregiver in Oakville for occasional help with my father. He is 69 and suffered a severe stroke last year. He continues to have severe right side weakness and has limited use of his right side arm and leg; he is in a wheelchair but is able to assist with transfers. My father has severe aphasia and communication remains difficult. He is now home and my mom requires occasional help with meal prep, toileting and other tasks as required, particularly if she needs to go out on errands or to appointments. Light housekeeping may be requested. Individuals with post-stroke experience preferred and familiar with caring for individuals in a wheelchair. Right side paralysis and aphasia are two conditions requiring ongoing rehabilitation. We need someone for occasional help. Individual would be required to help with meal prep, toileting and other tasks as required. Light housekeeping may be requested.
