Elder Care Job in Toronto, Ontario

We are looking for TWO excellent night-duty part-time, live-out, Male, qualified PSW's with experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's Dementia for my 70 year-old father. The two roles will involve a 12-hour shift and all night-time personal care duties for the duration of the night, including preparation for bed-time, personal care and bathroom visits during the night, reassurance and watching out that he is safe in the night. We require a team of at least 2 night-time caregivers so that the 7 days of the week can be covered - i.e. one caregiver for 3 nights a week and another caregiver for 4 nights and so on - or on a rolling 2 or 3 nights a week basis (this can be discussed). There may be occasional light meal preparation and feeding before bed, We will require the candidate to be on duty during the night to provide bedside assistance when required. During non-active hours of the night when no direct assistance is required, the candidate would be expected to complete specified light housekeeping chores e.g. in the kitchen / some laundry, ironing, etc. Dad lives with Mom (his main caregiver), location is a condominium in Harbourfront area Toronto M5. Our dad is a retired architect and he is still a man full of grace, class, joy and smiles, especially when surrounded by music. He is cherished and dearly loved by us his family who are always near him, and he deserves the best and most dignified care possible.
