I enjoy being a caregiver. I enjoy helping the elderly and disabled because at the end of the day we will ALL end up in the same position. I am aware that not many families can afford agency prices and therefore have to struggle or discontinue services and personally I think that this is really sad. I personally think getting wealthy off the elderly by taking advantage of their necessity is greedy. For Example an Agency can charge a client up to $200 a day for 8 hours (of which the caregiver actually working receives only $80) $200 a day , 5 x a week = $1000 a week just to have someone take care of your family member. Fair or not, Affordable or not? That is up to you to decide. I want to assist those who cant afford $200 a day. I would like to work for you with out breaking your pockets. We all know as time passes we often push away or not even think about have to put our loved one (s) in a long term care facility. that are very expensive,impersonal,and really does not give the privacy and the list of things goes on about the pros vs the cons of long term care facilities. So let me ask you this? wouldn't it be in the better to have your loved one in their home where they are in there own environment where your loved one will feel, content, have a sense of belonging and above all and most important they will feel safe and secure. This is where my role as a personal care giver comes in i have over 15 yrs exp. in the care giving field with not only the elderly but with children,infants,developmentally challenged,from basic needs to all personal care my services are not just limited to the elderly i also provide extra help to families who need some extra help with children study time or who just need a break or a night out on the town.Here is a full list of services i provide laundry, childcare, light to moderate housekeeping, errands, accompany to and from medical appts, shopping, (ROM) range of motion, meal prep, cooking, medication reminders,and set up, ambulation,transferring, toileting, assisting in eating, personal hygiene, and assist with activities of daily life If any other services are needed besides the list of provided above it can be discussed at the time of need. i would like to take a moment to tell you a little about myself and why i chose this line of work I know and fully understand what it means to have a aging or disabled family member in your household and not have extra help or any help at all i am also a mom of 3 children and up until recently was a single parent but rest assured its ok to need a break or need help with extra chores or help with a loved one i also have worked in nursing homes and i cant say its been a bad experience but the workload is hard and often there are way to many clients to one aide and no its not fair to the aide its especially not fair to the client because they don't always get tended to promptly or cared for in the proper manner so i chose to go to home health and iv been doing it ever since and have found it to be more personal, and effective not only for the health benefit of the client but for their family members as well. please feel free to contact me with any and all questions you may have or concerns or even if your just looking for advice i'm here day or night and i am available for all hours and weekends and over nights as well my name is Rachel here is my number (707) 35...
