My name is Angela Minor. I am finishing my third year of nursing at Trinity Western University in Langley BC. Although going to school in BC, Ontario is my home. I am disciplined, hard working, reliable, and able to work long hours while balancing other responsibilities. I adapt easily to new situations and enjoy a challenge and an opportunity to try something new. I am self-motivated, goal-orientated, and hope to continue to grow in leadership and knowledge. I have a heart to serve and love working with people of all ages. I recognize my own limitations and will seek assistance if needed. I enjoy getting to know new people and taking the opportunity to learn from those around me. I completed my geriatric clinical rotation and worked in a long-term care facility for a semester. I am experienced in administrating medications, and assisting others in feeding, bathing, and basic activities of daily living. My grandmother also lived with us for 14 years and I would assist my mother in providing care for my grandmother. I have worked with post-operative patients as well in the hospital setting, completing regular routine assessments and providing care. Completed my maternity rotation, working with newborns and new mothers. Providing medication as needed and assisting in daily care. Studied psychiatric and mental health nursing for a semester as well. Worked with people of different ages that were living with various mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, depression, Alzheimer's, etc.
