Hello my name is Melissa I am a 25 year old who has had experience in both a nursing home and retirement setting working with seniors of all capacities through work as well as 3 years of registered nursing training which included placements in long term care, complex continuing care, community nursing and mental health sectors. I am currently taking time away from my nursing studies based on financial and family difficulties in the past year and looking to work and gain hands on experience. I have CPR and AED training at the health care level as well as police check (with vulnerable sector) and nonviolent crisis intervention training, a license with a clean driving record, and my own vehicle. I am caring, reliable and responsible and thoroughly enjoy engaging with the elderly as both a caregiver and companion.
