I have gained a lot of knowledge in these last 4 years. • Highly skilled in assisting diverse clients in their daily living activities • In-depth knowledge of providing personal grooming; skin care, hair, nails and oral care, shaving • Hands-on experience in monitoring vital signs, pulse, temperature and oxygen levels • Well-versed in grocery shopping, running errands, making doctor's appointments, physical therapy appointments, or anything else they might need or want (hair appointments) • Providing assistance in toileting, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene i.e.; peri-care • Adept at preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks • Demonstrated ability to encourage everyday activities while keeping in mind the client's needs • Providing conversation and companionship in a respectful but fun manner • Proven ability to dispense and remind them about taking prescribed and over the counter medication, lotions or ointments and (lidocaine) patches • First-hand experience in all housekeeping areas, running errands, laundry work, thoroughly cleaning rooms and bathrooms, showers and bath tubs • Proficient in assisting clients with walking and physical therapy • Able to assist patients throughout the night • Maintain confidentiality I always take in what my co-workers and managers say seriously. I put it in to action if there is anything I can do about it. I give ideas on improvement, and encourage it in others. I adore my residents and their families, I listen to them about everything they say. I can pick up on their cues, when they don't really want to say it. I am great at communicating to the families, doctor offices, etc. while always keeping confidential information confidential. I always double check with the managers before I do anything on behalf of a resident. I use the communication binders and charts efficiently and thoroughly every day that I am there; I also read about the days I wasn't there, so I don't miss anything important. I was in charge of training the new caregivers who came to work with us, on all 3 shifts. (6:00 AM, evening and Overnight) I was the "go-to" person when anyone, including resident's and their families, had questions or needed anything. If I couldn't get the answer or item/product, I always knew where to go to get it and in a timely matter. If the manager was ever out of town on vacation, I was the stand in manager. I answered any questions co-workers may have had while the manager was away. I would schedule the things the residents' would need outside of the building and arrange for rides (pick up and drop off). I have lots of references, email or text me to know more.
