Hi, i am offering the best possible caregiving service without having the trouble of going thru a over priced agency. So with my experience and dedication know you are in good hands.. i have been doing caregiving for almost 4 and half years. I believe that the world of caregiving is a calling, not a job, and that reflects in my work ethic and care.I am beyond excited each day to improve the quality of life for your loved ones.. most family cant be there 100% of the time so my job is to be a loving temporal replacement. Each situation is different, some enjoy the out doors, some love tv shows, games or what have you.. my job is to meet there where they are most happy. I feel great when i can make them laugh and smile. I am not your sour puss caregiver... i bring such a joyful, fun atmosphere to their home.... im very much on the comical side and when something not so fun happens i always make sure the person im caring doesnt feel ashamed, embarrassed or less then. I am great at changing the subject and making light of the situation.. never fails.... most of the time patients with advance dementia get upset with themselves and i always give them a hug and tell its fine... its life and im here to make it brighter so lets do something fun now~ Some people working in this field are certified and approach every situation the same... like a boring sad, unhappy nurse. Not me... while and I lack certifications for the moment... you cant certify a caregiver with heart or compassion ... i realize most families think there situation is way intense i may not be able to handle it... while challenging at first getting to know the man or women it can be but briefly. I have dealt with mild to extreme cases. so i have a wide level of experience.... with meds, bed ridden, incontinence, aggressive or violent Beauvoir. im also very experienced in medication.. what works and what doesnt... i am looking for a full time type of situation. I would like my own room no problem sharing a guest bathroom. But i would like a room where i can have a little freedom to decorate and so fourth. Im also so very neat, clean and organized with the home and my patients.. Currently caring for a lovely women with alot of illness's and she loves to have her makeup and hair done.. she also loves music too... so im willing to do house keeping too i live there as well so i want a clean home... One thing i do need to be upfront about is ... right now i dont offer transportation. However we can work around it as i do in every situation. nothing is impossible and passing me by because of driving is silly you wont find a caregiver like me... to compassionate, nurturing. I also have a tiny 5lb house trained chi ... she normally just adds more light, brightness to the entire situation. she is house trained and is my best friend..she wont be a problem. right now i am working 7 days a week with 6 hours off during the day and off at 7pm on the weekened. i am looking for something where i have at least ONE day off or i wold like to discuss a increase in pay... right now im pulling in 2 grand. So nothing lower unless the situation is ideal? i do have a letter of recommendation, references and anything else you want? Here is an idea of my experience as a caregiver - - Worked with Hospice many times - Alzheimer/ Dementia (both severe and mild cases - Incontinence - Administrating medications on time - Light cooking breakfast,lunch and dinner - Light exercise daily - Patients on oxygen and/or tube fed - Wound care (i.e. bed sores, stage 3 sores, etc) - Able to lift up to 160lbs and transfer from bed to chair - Extremely clean and organized And last, but certainly not least - - Companionship very intuitive and i want to make sure my patient is happy right now my current patient is showing signs of decline and i want to start looking as soon as i can.. i am currently in LA.. and so i dont drive but if you want to skype, facetime, phone call or even drive out here to meet we can. i am looking for at least 6 months if not more. I do plan on working in the this field of work for a long awhile perhaps cna/Rn. i look forward to speaking with you this is exciting!!! by the way _there is no such thing as gender in the medical field) a caregiver is a a caregiver regardless of sex-. look forward to making your loved ones life bright and shiny!
