Elder Care Job in Beaverton, Oregon

I'm an
Individual
Live - in Caregivers needed for elderly 82 year old Hispanic Female (Bethany area) - Near Portland Community College - Rock Creek Campus. No experience necessary in healthcare, will train - can do attitude goes a long way! Benefits: We are looking for a single or a team of Spanish-speaking female caregivers who are willing to look after an elderly 82 year old Hispanic Female. The "single" individual will have the full responsibility of caring for the patient and receive the full benefits of the position. If the Exceptional individual is not found, than we would be looking at individuals who are willing to share the workload and benefits that the position offers. The benefits can be broken down as follows: Monthly benefit example: $6000 / 31days = $193 a day payment and medical. (As it stands). If you are hired as a single caregiver, than focus on your monthly benefit. If it's a team effort than focus on the day by day benefit. No matter the position - Medical will still be offered For example - One candidate would start 8a.m. Monday morning through 8a.m. Friday morning and the other candidate would relieve or start: 8a.m. Friday morning through 8a.m. Monday morning. This way the patient would be looked after 24hrs a day without interruption. Again, this is one example out of many and it all depends on how many candidates apply for the position and what's best for the patient. Interviews will be held on February 6 through February 17th. If your already enrolled in the DHS database and you are picked, be prepared to work right away. About the Patient: Patient is 4'10" and 110lbs. This is an DHS (Department of Human Services of Oregon) sponsored position. Candidate will be in charge of an 82 year old female who has difficulties with, Parkinson's, diabetes and dementia. Parkinson's and dementia is controlled by medication and diabetes is controlled by food in-take so knowing your way around a kitchen is helpful. Healthcare experience is a plus, but not absolutely necessary, a can do attitude goes a long way. Candidate who has their own car and who's insured will have a leg up in the process, but not absolutely necessary. Candidate must be able to speak and understand Spanish -- No exceptions. The DHS - sponsored position is a state government ran program so being already in the "DHS" Home-Care-Worker database avoids red tape, but you can still qualify for the position if you're willing to go through certain obstacles: 1.) Government back ground check and take an orientation class. 2.) Candidate will need to wait at least 4 to 8 weeks for initial results of background check - (if you are already an DHS Provider Home Care Worker - than you will get paid every 2 weeks). 3.)
