Elder Care in Apple Valley, California

my name is Heather Barshinger and I have a passion for helping others . I am 28 years old with a beautiful and loving family. I am a proud mother of a 16 no the old preciouse daughter . I also have a caring and loving husband .I am from the high desert but for 3 years my husband was stationed in fort bliss , fort Knox and lastly fort hood. We really enjoyed the military life but do to a medical discharge he recently parted from the army..... we both decided to come back to California near my mom and brother so we can have support while getting on our feet. I did not work for one year while my husband was in the army .I stayed home with my daughter and did some side jobs such as care giving for children. I have three families that I did caring for their beautiful children . the majority of the caring assisted of pick up and drop offs to and from school. Preparing meals and making sure that home work was done . I also have senior care experience . while attending Cumberland high in Rhode Island I was employed at an assisted living facility called autumn villa. While working at the facility I was a personal care assistant for the residents .while I did care for all the residents I also had four residents that I had to give showers and do their laundry daily . I have experience with Alzheimer's and dementia. We had a few residents that we had to keep a a constant eye on so they wouldn't leave the facility. Those particular elders had no idea what decade they were in or where they were . one lady thought I was her daughter and that she was locked up away from her baby or some days she thought she was at work. All we could do was go a long with her but make sure she didn't harm her self Or others. She was such a sweet lady . I really enjoyed helping the elderly because a hand full of them did not have families . seeing that I could just make them smile and not feel alone for those 8 hours a day made me feel complete . I do have the patience and experience to care for you or your family . I have two newer reliable vehicles with valid insurance and a California liscense. I do have a clean driving record . I love to cook so I can easily prepare meals for a day or a week to a month ahead . if you need someone to clean or organize don't fear I am here ! I am available wed to Friday from 5 pm to 8pm . I would like weekends off but I am more than open to doing some weekends . also if you need my care till 930 once in a while I can work with you .
