I was raised in Victoria and attended UVic before leaving the City to pursue my career. In 2010, our family relocated back to Victoria. I now enjoy the rewards and challenges of making a positive difference to those older members of our community in need of support by providing my practical help, companionship and positive, friendly personality to help deal with the challenges of daily living. I understand the importance of hiring a person who is caring, reliable, competent and able to develop personal relationships which recognize and respect the unique wishes and personalities of each client. I believe that I possess these qualities and would add that I also consider myself to be a pleasant, honest, intelligent and hard-working person. I am available to provide non-medical home support, meal preparation, companionship, light housekeeping and transport to appointments and shopping. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience as a Caregiver, firstly while caring for my two parents who were faced with the debilitating effects of stroke paralysis and chronic heart failure, yet were independent and determined to remain in their home. In addition, I have been a Stay at Home Mother and Wife for several years and am an extremely capable Household Manager and Cook. In the case of my parents and my children, I have seen first hand the considerable difference in outcomes which result from providing personal, committed, quality care. I have completed the Food Safe and First Aid/CPR courses and have a current Police Check from Saanich Police. I also own my own 2011 vehicle and have achieved a clean drivers record during more than 25 years of driving.
