Elder Care in Aurora, Colorado

Caregiver: I have been working in elder care for about six years. I know how to cook, do light housekeeping, and provide transportation. I am also good at range of motion and a Certified Caregiver. I have my TB shots and flu shots. I am CPR and First Aid Certified. I have been a volunteer in a hospital for over a year on the telemetry ward, which has given me full understand about aging, death and dying, and remaining in good care for prolonged life. I have also been studying Psychology for four years, including an emphasis in Lifespan Development. About seven years ago I was a CNA for the Lutheran Good Sheppard Home of the West. I have earned honors in Behavioral Sciences for Psychology and Philosophy, including an emphasis in Lifespan Development, that was just last year. Meaning, that I understand how the brain develops and what happens to a human brain as age occurs throughout a lifespan. So, I understand forgetfulness, pain, and movement. I also understand how to adapt to needs, such as speaking louder and being a good companion. I do not wish for anyone to feel alone in their old age. I have a lot of stimulating conversation and I am a great cook! Included in all this fun is also help in bathing, toileting, brushing and combing hair, personal hygiene, dressing, wheel chair assistance, step lifting, belt lifting, and laundry. I work for $20.00 an hour, in four hour increments, or $550.00 a week flat rate for shifts under 10 hours. I will also help if your family member is interested in Silver Sneakers at YMCA. I have a Volvo for safety.
