I have just recently moved from Kelowna B.C, to be closer to family. I am an enthusiastic and compassionate candidate having professionalism to treat clients with dignity and respect and have the potential to work efficiently. I have extensive skills and experience in caring for people of different backgrounds in the patient’s home as well as in a facility. I love dealing with clients of different ages and disabilities. I have the demonstrated ability to give individualized quality care to patients such as bathing, feeding, toileting, grooming and personal care, and able to build up personal connections that support the patient. Through my previous jobs, I have developed excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility, effective interpersonal skills and the capability to efficiently handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality. I have worked as a Community Health Worker, aiding in personal care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, skin care, and toileting. As directed by the Community Care Nurse, I assisted clients with nursing procedures, such as medication regimes, non-sterile dressing applications, colostomy care and catheter care in the comfort of their own home. I have also worked as a Residential Care Aide, in the extended and intermediate care level, around advanced Dementia, Parkinson’s and MS disorders. I assisted residents with personal care and activities of daily living, personal laundry, and meal assistance. Experienced in all sorts of transfers using ceiling lifts, and medimans.
