I consider myself dependable in taking care of elders. I worked as a caregiver in New York for 6 years before I came to Canada and took care of a 72 year old man with MS for 5 years. I am compassionate and caring towards elder people. I consider myself skilled in this kind of job coz I have tKen 6 month course of caregiving in the philippines before I came here coz it is a pre requisite to apply for work here since I belonged to the Live in caregiver program. Took care of a 72 year old man with MS for 5 years until he died last november. Duties included catheterization, colostomy change, wound care, daily bath, tracheostomy care, effectively perform full-feed assist to senior with swallowing difficulties, trained to to use Arjo Maxitube, LAL mattress, ROHO wheelchair cushion, C-PAP, nebulizer, actively promote health and comfort assisting with ADL's hygiene, exercise (ROM), socialization, efficientlyn provide both daytime and overnight/respite care.
