I am very interested in the Long Term Care Aide position. I bring the following assets to the table: - Long Term Care Aide diploma - B.C. Care Aide #....... - more than 10 years of caregiver/HCA experience - Special skills: Mental Health Care, Palliative Health Care, Dementia Care, Emergency First Aide and CPR/AED (Level C), Food Safe, Advanced Medication Delivery, WHMIS, Building Service Worker and valid driving license - Multi-lingual: English, Tagalog, some Hebrew, Arabic and Mandarin COMPANIONSHIP SERVICES: - Keeping the company and engaging in activities such as gardening, games, aquacise/swimming) - Grocery shopping, watch television together - socializing in the park/meet friends HOME SERVICES: - General light duty housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, wash dishes, laundry, ironing, mending clothes, cooking, mean preparation DEMENTIA/ALZHEIMER CARE: - Remove all the clutters on the floor, proper light.. - Establishment of safe and more comfortable environment, trusting relationship - help family members cope with the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and other dementia illnesses. PERSONAL CARE SERVICES: - Grooming, hygiene (bath, shower, toileting/incontinence care, commode, shave) - Mobilization/positioning (turning, lifts and transfers, exercising, walking) - eating, feeding and special diet
