I am a very independent worker. I will work with the person, do not work in unsafe conditions. I get along well with seniors. I am a very quiet person, so people say I am a good listener. I am willing to work with the family to follow instructions. I can be left alone with the person for extended periods of time, often the primary cargiver will want to go out for a break. I am comfortable to do cleaning jobs, for the person if it is needed. I am a good cleaner/organizer, decluter, will not throw out important iterms. Am not big on cooking, am willing to learn to prepare meals for the person according to their tastes. Healthy eating is very important. I have also worked with people who are visually impaired/hearing impaired. Breaks are not big issue for me, I usually take a break as I need to. I do use gloves, am familiar with proper hand washing. I am fairly observant. I have done bed-bug preperation for a person\'s home/apartment. Have worked as a PSW for 10 years, including people with diminished cognition, due to disease. Assisted with all activities of daily living, with people who are ambulatory. Bathing, skin care medication reminer, light meal preperation. Safety and security, as well as effective communicatiion. Attend to the person's needs according to each individuals requirements. Also, have cleaned and done laundry. i do not do heavy lifting.
