Elder Care in Peterborough, Ontario

I am a patient and loving person with a real passion for understanding people. I have a lot of experience working with adults and seniors. Last year, while running Frontier College's literacy programs in Kingston, Ontario, I began a new literacy outreach program in a local seniors home. I have also worked closely with adults infected or affected by HIV/AIDs in Georgetown, Guyana. I have worked with their support groups and group therapy sessions. I grew up with my Grandmother who has been extremely hard of hearing her entire life. I understand her stresses of anxiety and frustration and work with her to cope not only with her social hardships with her disability but also with her coping mechanisms of getting older.
