I am a highly motivated and creative person who can offer a carefully and critically considered addition to the personal and social life of an individual with special needs/abilities. I am considerate, thoughtful, and funny! I believe that everyone deserves dignity and autonomy. I believe that everyone has a voice and that we need only find new ways of hearing it. I have worked in several care-related capacities, including care home settings, long-term facilities, day programs, office settings, academic settings, telephone peer support, and one-on-one support. The bulk of my care and advocacy work pertains to adults and elders with a wide range of physical and/or cognitive special abilities, ranging from Dementia, Alzheimer's, Down's Syndrome, ADHD Spectrum, Bipolarity, and Depression.
