Elder Care in Toronto, Ontario

Hi there! I am a nursing student in the Ryerson University Collaborative Program. I have experience with older adults as well as young adults in long-term care and rehabilitation facilities, but I\'m here looking for more experience in a one-on-one position. I want to develop a therapeutic relationship with my clients, and my ultimate goal is always to make sure that the person or people I\'m caring for are comfortable, relaxed, and safe. I am looking for a full-time or part-time summer position working with someone of any age. My goals are to become a community health, mental health, or pediatric nurse when I finish school, and any experience that would help me towards that goal would be appreciated. I am a nursing student with experience in long-term care facilities - I'm looking to get a little more experience with adults in a one-on-one caregiving position, which I believe enhances the therapeutic relationship. I have experience with young adults with intellectual and mental health disabilities, and I'm comfortable in positions that range from intimate care (dressing, bathing, change of briefs, etc) to personal support in a more friendly capacity. My ultimate goal is always to make sure that the person I'm caring for feels comfortable and is safe.
