Hi my name is Dana Gitto, I have just completed my second year of Nursing at Queens university. I have developed competencies in a variety of skills that I look forward to applying within the context of your care needs. It brings me great fulfilment to work with seniors. I have always had a great heart for them, and it brings me great joy to be able to help assist them with any of their needs, and ensure they are the happiest and most comfortable they can be. Whether it is providing nursing assistance, helping them stay active, or taking the time to talk with them, I am more than happy to help. I have completed year two of a four year Nursing program ( BSCN). I had two placements, both of which I was working with seniors. My first placement was on a complex continuing care unit, here I bathed, fed, groomed, and got the patients ready for the day. I also administered any PO medication. In my second placement I was on a cardiac and orthopaedic floor where I assisted with the rehabilitation of patients that just recently underwent heart and or orthopaedic surgery. I performed all of the skills that I have previously mentioned as well as more advanced nursing skills.
