Hi, im dona! 26 years old, married. Im a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Philippines in 2005 and passed the Nurse Licensure Examination at the same year. I was employed in the hospital for 2 years as ICU Nurse and Ward Nurse. At year 2008 i went to Hong Kong and worked as live in care giver/helper for 2 years and 3 months. And came here in Canada last May 22, 2010 and worked as live in care giver up to present. Against this background, i would like to apply as Care Giver, and I am highly motivated and willing to extend my knowledge and skills as a health care provider as much as i can . Im experience health care member with good judgement and communication skills and able to perform variety of task. Personally Im hard working, dedicated and efficient. My training from Hospital as a nurse and being a care giver abroad makes more confident in seeking application. I wish to estate the person below that could vouch my personality and capability. I had lot of experience hadling and taking care of adults and seniors, sick and severely ill patients (ex. stroke, myocardial infarction/heart attact, diabetes, brain injury, post-operative brain operation etc...) when i was working in the hospital as a nurse back in the philippines. I worked as ICU and a ward nurse for 2 years. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting patients when required with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all other aspect of daily living. -Pay particular attention to assisting patient who have limitte mobility or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided. -Ensuring the safety of the patient is the most priority. JOB DESCRIPTON: Renders quality of care in relation to the dependent and independent role. -Giving medication's (orally/Intravenous-injection) -Intravenous Insertion -Nasogastric Insertion, NGT care and Tube feeding -Catheter Insertion (Catheterization Care) -Suctioning -Bed Making -Morning Care - etc... I came here in Canada last May'2010 and work as live in care giver up to present. Im taking care of a 70 years old lady, single, suffering from hypertention, left body paralysis ( left arm is paralyse, left leg is weak, left eye is blind, left ear is deaf) caused by car accident 10 years ago, and had brain injury. Recently she was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Physical assistance (getting up and getting to bed, ransferring from bed to wheel chair, wheel chair to bed, wheel chair to comode) - bathing - toileting - putting clothes, undressing - all other aspects of her daily living - Cooking nad meal preparation - light houskeeping -Laundry - Giving medication orally - Monitor Bood Sugar
