Elder Care in Brampton, Ontario

Hi :) I am a young, educated and open-minded woman who has been told that even though I exercise maturity past my age, my heart is that of a child! My love lies in education & health for any-age! Currently, I am a 3rd year nursing student who has DIVERSE in-hospital work experience. I have worked in the following areas: maternity and labour & delivery, rehabilitation for trauma/burn clients, Nephrology (i.e. mainly kidney deficiencies). I have dedicated 3 summers of my earlier years (2007, 2...) to volunteer work at summer camps with St. Johns Church in the North York area of Toronto. This has taught me that working with families & children trumps 100% working in-office (most recent job experiences). P.S. I LOVE animals and am NOT allergic! In-hospital work experiences have left me feeling joyous and confident that I could overcome any difficult situation! Examples include: 1) patient with severe diabetes & amputation of both legs; required medications administration, help with ambulation/transferring, bathing, etc.) 2) Elderly lady (75 years of age) with Alzheimer's required daily care including medication administration, health teaching, health assessments, bathing, feeding, ambulation 3) Severe burn patient with 40% burns to the body requiring frequent health assessments & assistance with activities of daily living & medication (i.e pain medication)
