I am a home health caregiver with experience in dementia, Alzheimer and MS. I make sure medication is given at the proper time. I give bed baths, assist with diaper changes respectfully, I can take blood pressure, if needed and maintain diabetes care, with regards to medication, food, etc. I tend to other needs, such as; massaging hands, arms, legs, etc with lotion to keep skin moist and circulation going and do light exercise to keep mobility strong. I will also offer groomings, such as brush hair, shave or trim nails, if needed. I have read to my patience, sang to them, and done whatever it takes to make my patient happy and interactive with life. I give my patience the dignity they deserve and find the joy in life to get them to smile and laugh. I listen to their life stories and play dominos, scramble or rummmikub with them. I'm a safe driver and love to drive around town, go to movies, parks, and shopping, all depending on the patients abilities and desires. I'm dependable on making sure they take their medication, giving them a bath, either in bed or in a shower with assistance, if needed. I cook, clean and will keep a log, if requested, of the daily events, food intake, etc. to keep the family aware of how their loved on is doing.
