Elder Care in Victoria, British Columbia

Hello! I am a current second time post-secondary student looking for summer work. I have dedicated myself to the pursuit of a career in healthcare, and I love being able to use my skills, training, and abilities to help others! I have experience caring for an elderly woman with a physical disability. I am a responsible, safety-oriented and mature person and I feel comfortable and confident in my ability to provide excellent care to your loved one. In addition, I am friendly and optimistic, and would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family! For almost two years, I volunteered with an elderly woman who had suffered a stroke and had difficulties with mobility. Her abilities allowed her to be independent, but she required some help one day a week. I was a part of Recreation Integration Victoria, which strives to provide access to fitness and physical activity to those who may not have access to such. My main activity was to take my friend swimming at the local pool. In addition, I would assist her going for walks, getting groceries, tending to the garden, preparing meals, and visiting.
