Good day! My name is Lynne and I have dedicated my life to helping others (including pets, who I consider to be a part of my family). I love all people, and have empathy and compassion for the challenges we all endure at certain times in our lives, along with and a very caring and dependable nature. I am honest and professional, and I always have a friendly smile and tons of energy and enthusiasm. I do house sitting/apartment sitting, elder care/adult care. If you want someone to keep you company, to give you some help while you are recovering from an injury or illness, or to check on your home while you are away (I don't stay overnight, however, I am able to visit daily, bring in your mail, and ensure people around see that there is someone present at your home regularly), I can help. What makes me different than others? You can trust me with those you love and care for. I truly love to help people and pets, and no matter what the day brings, I always stay positive, have a great sense of humour, and I try my best each and every day in all that I do. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have worked in the field of Mental Health and Addiction for more than 10 years. I have worked with Geriatric patients in long-term-care facility settings, hospitals, as well as in their homes. I have provided group activities (activation), one-on-one visiting (companionship), medical escorting, and assisting with daily activities such as meals, and light cleaning. I am also very familiar with the challenges that our elderly face, and have run support groups to help with these (examples are: Loneliness, Vision Impairment, Bereavement and Loss (Coping with Grief), and Insomnia).
