Elder Care in Middletown, New York

Hello! I'm a 2014 graduate looking for new possibilities. I got my certificate through BOCES which I loved every minute of. It gave me the experience I needed but not to the full extent. It was more one on one then tending to 18 residents by myself. It's the little things that matter, taking the extra time to give them some extra attention. Get a snack, put lotion on them, I remember one time in BOCES I took an extra minute to run lotion on a residents back and she was SO greatful. I do have a current full time job at a nursing home doing overnights. Being in the nursing home, things come up and we only have a certain amount of time to do what you have to do. Which makes it hard to do the little things. I am hoping to get out of nursing homes, I enjoy caring for them but I do not want to do this as a career. My salary is $14 an hour and I'm hoping to keep it but I can do 12-13, it's negotiable.
