Elder Care in Brockport, New York

My name is Rhonda. I'm 32yrs old, a mother of two, and have been a care provider since 2002. I have an associates degree in Human services. I worked at an agency for 8yrs, as a community living instructor, taking care of mentally handicapped and elderly individuals. I was also the assistant manager there of a home with 10 mentally handicapped individuals that we cared for, ranging in ages from 35 to 80yrs old. I was responsible for everything from bathing, self care, feeding, administering meds, to driving to appointments &community activities, as well as cooking meals, cleaning the house, budgeting their money, and working with them on goals. Our goal was to assist individuals to reach their maximum potential by promoting self reliance, dignity and a sense of purpose. I also worked for a family where I provided in home care for an elderly family member, and I did an internship at a nursing home. I love being a care provider! I'm kind, trustworthy, reliable, honest, and I love helping others.
