I have 2 1/2 years experience as an elderly care provider. I took care of my mother at home for two years. I bathed her, gave her medication, and before she became bedridden took her to her doctor's appointments. She had Alzheimers. She eventually had a feeding tube, and I had to feed her and give her medications this way. After my mother became bedridden, myself or someone was required to be with her 24 hours a day. My oldest sister was diagnosed with Alzheimers also about two years ago, and had lung cancer. I helped her husband with her care. She I did not live with her I just assisted as much as I could.
