Elder Care in Toronto, Ontario

Compared to having worked as a nanny for 14 years, I am just starting to gain experience in taking care of elderly. Be a child or an adult they both need the caring and affection that they do deserve as a person. In my 14 years of taking care of children, I learned to extend my affection as if they were my own. So now that I am shifting to adult care I am very positive that I can do the same too. I have experienced working for elderly in the nursing home during my clinical placement. If children are innocent, elderly are wise. It is such an enjoyment talking to them, listening to all their experiences in life. Like for children they need understanding and patience too. At the nursing home, I had experienced assisting them to eat, helped them with hygiene (brushing, diaper change, full or sponge bath) and just being there whether they need one to talk to or help them in anyways.
