I am a Social Work student studying to be a geriatric social worker. I am home for the summer seeking summer employment. I am very experienced with older adults as I have been a companion to my grandparents and neighbors. I have helped them with administering medicine, dressing, mobility (with walkers, around home or park, in and out of cars, up and down stairs etc), meal preparation, housekeeping, social interaction and teaching technology! I have had grandparents suffer from dementia and Parkinson's so I am familiar with that as well. I am studying to be a geriatric social worker because I have a real passion for working with older adults. I am very patient and compassionate and I want to give older adults the best quality of life. I have been through Elder Abuse training and I am certified in recognizing and preventing it. I live in Massapequa, NY and I will be available June-August (except for weekends and June 29-July 6).
