Elder Care in Ottawa, Ontario

Hi, I'm Shannon Keenan, and I'm available to assist elderly people in many ways! I was a house wife and homeschooling mom for the past 21 years, and now I'm free to work again outside our home. I was a nurse in the Canadian Forces for over 8 years prior to being a stay at home mom. Prior to that I worked for a few years in Psychiatry at Vancouver Genera Hospital, at the Great Northern Way Detox Center in Vancouver and for several years as a patient care aid and then a nurse at Riverview Hospital in Port Coquitlam, BC. During nurse's training I worked with the elderly at Burnaby General Hospital in their Extended Care Unit as a Nurse's Aid. I worked with the elderly on the medical/surgical unit while working at the Ormocto Hospital in Ormocto, NB, and in my Nursing Officer orientation in the Canadian Forces at NDMC, I worked on the Veteran's floor. I love the elderly- they have so much life experience and so many stories to tell us, and deserve honor, respect and loving care.
