Hi there! My name is Madison; a recent practical nursing graduate, waiting to write my provincial examination. I am looking to help seniors age in place, by providing services such as companionship, personal care, light housekeeping and meal preparation, medication reminders, caregiver relief/respite care and more. Over the last few years of being a student, I have gained valuable work experience in both long-term care and hospital settings. I have had the pleasure of working with many age groups, however, my passion is working with the senior population. I just completed my 300 hours of consolidation/placement in a long-term care home and absolutely loved interacting with the residents. I have also worked as a personal support worker in the hospital which I have gained skills such as personal care, transfers and repositioning, and most of all empathy and compassion. I have worked as a companion for a local non-medical home business, as well as a senior maintenance assistant helping seniors garden, clean and organize their homes and much more.
